WordPress Dashboard is the screen you will first see as soon as you log in to your WordPress website.
After the installation and logging in to WordPress, you will be taken to the dashboard. From here, you can navigate to different sections in order to configure settings, add posts and pages, install plugins and themes, and perform actions to change the design or working of the site.
Dashboard Widgets
These are the widgets/sections you can see on your WordPress dashboard.
Dashboard widgets, also referred to as sections are draggable areas. Which means, you can drag them and drop them wherever you want to organize the items. You can also show/hide them using the Screen Options link you will see at the top-right of your screen. You may also dismiss the items such as the Welcome to WordPress! section if you no longer want to see them.
Welcome to WordPress!
This is the magic spell to get a quick start for your WordPress website. The Welcome to WordPress! section lists a number of links you can follow one by one to get started with your site. Starting from customizing your site info, to writing your first blog post, and setting up menu items, you can click on them one by one in order to make a pretty basic website ready to go live.
At a Glance
